Open Mindedness Sessions Utilizing Astrology

By Kevin Foster

I think about myself rational, logical, and aware adequate to know when I'm falling short of these golden posts. I am admittedly a tiny cynical about tarot card readings and clairvoyance (although I do consider you will discover persons obtainable with strange abilities), and I wouldn't pay someone to throw runes for me, yet, I believe astrology is worth a look.

I wont tell you that it's simply because it's 'scientific', but I'll assert that it is at least a tiny measurable, which methods it can be tested.

Firstly, I need to establish what astrology is, and isn't (and as a result what I am defending). What it is: It is (in natal chart reading) the interpretation (and interpretations are fairly set, not open to individual interpretation) from the planets as they were at the time of the individuals birth, and consequently how that person's personality (potential) is mapped out. It's also the interpretation (again, fairly set) on the constant movement of the planets, and how they 'trigger' parts of the person's natal chart, so therefore what influences will probably be manifesting for that person on that day / month / year.

It just isn't the horoscope section on the local paper, or girly magazine.

The reason I started to study astrology was basically that I couldn't feel you could divide the entire populus from the world into 12 'categories'. The very first issue I learned was that you just couldn't. You have possibly heard people say 'oh but my father is really a Leo, and he's Nothing like my son, who can also be a Leo' (read: therefore, in accordance with this 'evidence', astrology is not 'true'. To this, I bring out Five natal charts of Leos that I have, and it is promptly clear that apart during the sun sign (Leo), the charts are all entirely different.

Natal charts are multi-faceted / layered concepts. The very first layer will be the signs all the planets which rule different forms of the personality) are in. In turn, each of these planets is thrown like die into some, many, or all the 'houses' in a person's chart. Every house 'rules' certain areas of life; a concentration of planets in a single shows the exact same in life: many exercising or focus on that area of life. Then you have the relationship in between the planets, that may be decided by the sign they fall into. This will show you internal harmony or conflict, and external harmony and conflict.

Next comes the interpretation on the relationships by the astrologer. As stated above, you'll find reasonably difficult and fast rules for each possible relationship. For example, a Moon (emotional nature) in Scorpio (intensity, passion, obsession) squaring (90 degrees difference between two planets, an internal conflict) a Venus (love nature, expression of beauty) in Aquarius (freedom seeking, independent, anti-establishment) will likely be interpreted as being a conflict between emotional needs and love needs. This might manifest as somebody becoming attracted to a person with Aquarian traits, but incredibly emotionally needing an individual who will bond with them on a deepest level possible (Scorpio). So you get a freedom junkie, simply because which is what you're attracted to, but you luck out from the emotional department, because that individual needs much more freedom than your obsessive emotional nature can give.
