Can Soul purpose be regarded the same as success? In the sense yes, in that we are able to do really small about it in the personality level, in this lifetime. Our Soul objective is created by ourselves but was set out in previous lifetimes and is currently unfolding. So within this life span we are able to do little else but align with it and live harmoniously, or try and resist the calling and live disharmoniously! (Even experiencing disharmony may be required for our Soul's growth!) In our birth chart the increasing indicator, or ascendant, indicates our Soul purpose. It is our 'Soul Sign'.
Understanding, aligning with and expressing our Soul's Objective is our Life's work. Many individuals fulfil their Internal Objective without having even being aware of it, or necessarily being over a particularly 'spiritual' path. Maybe this really is what we experience as success, when our Soul's journey seems to be beyond the reach of our person attention.
For instance The Internal Sign of the USA is Aquarius(1), and the Soul Indicator of President Obama is Aquarius. Is it a 'coincidence' that the American people chose to elect an Aquarian Internal, to lead a nation (the most influential nation within the globe at this time) that also has an Aquarian Group Soul? The answer is dependent upon the stage of our Soul's development. For several of us, Internal awareness might not be our route within this life span, and so we wouldn't really feel drawn to pursue the matter, as within the example of the businessman above. For some the route requires developing mindful awareness of our Soul work and for others this contains a conscious experience of Internal.
It may be true that you are probably fulfilling your success anyway, also it may also be section of your Soul work in this life span to understand a lot more deeply what that signifies, and to begin consciously producing your long term Soul route: your long term destinies!
