Bothering Difficulties With Astrology

It is indeed a strange issue that we consider in Astrology for ages and yet it's subject to challenges by the so-called 'scientific-minded' and 'rationalists'. Hypocrisy, on the part of my astrologer buddies will be the root result in of this region of affairs. Incredibly often we come across articles or blog posts in print media and programmes on TV channels criticizing Astrology for its 'non-scientific' notions. However, it's sad that the same news papers or the TV channels do not stop astrological columns and shows. If we allege astrologers for exploiting people's sentiments; the media also can't spare themselves inside blemish of playing with controversial difficulties for your lure of increasing number of readers or viewers.

I had been a student of Hindu Astrology for quite a few years, at least over 27 years. During my experiments, I studied numerous schools of Astrology. However, my logical mind could never fully convince on certain aspects and precepts from the subject. I don't claim to become an authority on a subject and it's really feasible that my efforts have not been more than enough to achieve up to perfection. Within the wake of increasing level of scientific education, I believe that there are challenges before astrologers. Here are a few of them. I am of the opinion that we must have bodies to appear into these difficulties and resolve them so that dignity in the subject can be enhanced. Healthy discussion on after things are welcome:

(1) If we think that fate, 'Prarabdha' is really a sum total of un-rewarded Karma, the horoscope being an indicator of our Karma balance-sheet must show the popularity of such 'unrewarded' karma at the time of our birth. Enable us assume that a native seek astrological suggestions at his age of 25-30 years. At this thing of time, allow us assume; the astrologer suggests some remedies to mitigate the unfavorable influence of Rahu inside horoscope. The native, accepting the recommendation, performs the remedies. Now, enable us assume that the same native seeks astrological suggestions once again at his age of say, 40 years. Here, the queries arise:-

(1.a) What way an astrologer can know around the portion of 'unrewarded' karma availed right after his birth and previous to the time his chart is examined for guidance?

(1.b) What on the rewards of the karma performed following the birth till the time of horoscope examination. There should be some karma that would fructify during this life span itself. Do astrologers have any method to accommodate the influence on the karma performed during this life?

(1.c) How can an astrologer determine whether the unfavorable influence of the world has been resolved through remedies previous to examining the chart?

(1.d) Does the horoscope get modified upon performance of this sort of remedies?

(2) There are other problems related with ambiguity of our belief inside the theory of Karma and Astrological Remedies. 'As you sow, so shall you reap' and that there is no exception. No one can escape inside fruits. Someone has to suffer for adverse karma and has to avail benefits of his great karma. No adjustments are permitted. No one can claim discount from suffering against his outstanding advantages in the good karma. So, putting together of 'theory of karma and astrological remedies' seems illogical. If we consider in efficacy of theory of Karma, we can not believe in efficacy of Remedies..!

(2.a) How can we believe in Astrological Remedies if we feel theory of Karma?

(2.b) How can the benefits of bad past karma be removed by mere performing some funny remedies?

(3) You can find extra issues related with theory of probability and astrological predictions. We know the concepts of permutations and combinations. If the order does not matter, it is a Combination. If the order does matter it's a Permutation.

Now, if we apply this to horoscope interpretation; we have following final results -

(3.a) In a horoscope, we have 12 houses and 9 planets. The benefits will likely be - 108 possibilities (12x9)

(3.b) We now have 12 different signs. So the possibilities would be - 1296 (108x12)

(3.c) We now have 27 Nakshtras. So the possibilities would be - 34,992 (1296 x 27)

Don't forget, this really is yet limited to 'Lagna Kundli' alone. Think from the possibilities wherever we think about 'Rashi Kundli' and 'Hora Kundli' and all those Shadvarga Kundlies. Thus, you'll find innumerable combinations in between several sets of horoscope issues and it's indeed very simple to formulate astrological factors getting responsible for any event. Post-event justification of any happenings through astrological formulas would be extremely easy. However, it's not so easy to predict an event of the same set of formulas. The same result would not be observed in other horoscopes owning the exact same planetary combinations. If we assess this situation honestly; we now have to admit that beyond astrological factors, there has being other causes responsible for an event to occur.

On the one hand, I have personally witnessed the Nadi astrologers disclosing the names along with other uncomplicated facts around the natives so accurately. On a other hand, there are numerous fallacies practised inside the name of astrology. I have worked tirelessly on quite a few astrological methods and formulas and yet to be honest, not in a position to endorse even 1 formula to correctly know:

(3.d) regardless of whether the gender on the native is male or female

(3.e) regardless of whether the native is alive.

On my path to self-actualization, I produced interest in Vedic Astrology. It is over 27 years now, I have been sincerely indulging in analyzing numerous dimensions of Astrology. I try to co-relate and synchronize the ancient astrological principles on the needs and format with the modern day society.
