Your Horoscope Chart Mapped Out

By Charlie Reese

Many people in the psychic industry enjoy checking their horoscopes daily. This astrological chart can carefully map out a person love life and their daily life in general. Millions of people search out their astrology chart every single day. They tend to do it for various different reasons. I think that the main reason for someone wanting to know more about their astrological chart is to know their future. Everyone needs direction in life and sometimes when we get direction, we tend to use it to our advantage. We tend to go ahead in our lives to the extent that we can benefit our life and the lives of others that are all around us.

I think that when we become influenced by people that are around us, we can begin to see and realize that we are not alone in this world and that perhaps there is a higher power out there that actually governs us each and every day.

Lots of people that I talk to want to know why they feel drawn to their horoscope and to astrology. I think it?s because you can learn about your sign and see how you measure up to someone else?s prediction. Astrology has been practiced for centuries and is used mainly by the Chinese and Indian culture. In the 20th century, astrology became popular amongst many Americans and therefore has become a worldwide practice.

The ancient practice of astrology is really for people who want to get to know more about astrology in some sort of way. I think that when someone has a philosophical approach towards life, they can have a tendency of growing and learning about something over time. You can really begin to grow and learn more about yourself with time. When you have a lot o f time on your hands, you can actually begin to learn more about you in various different ways. I think that people in general have to have a good reason for finding themselves. We all have roots to something inside of our lives and sometimes we have to see just how far we can get with our spiritual energy.

If you try to look at your life and realize that it may not be everything that you thought it could be, you can somehow find yourself loosing yourself in the moment of things. I think that people in general have to see themselves acting very powerful in nature. When they do this, they begin to realize and act more openly about themselves in some sort of a way. You can learn more about you every step of the way as long as you act like you are really moving in one significant direction.

The next time that you are reading your daily horoscope, I suggest that you look at your own life and feel the energy that may have brought it to you in the first place. This is a window of opportunity for you to grow and to be alive in. You have the world awaiting you and you can improve your spiritual life with time.

Horoscopic Astrology Development and Ptolemaic Alexandria

By Sara Bright

The article is intended to be pleasing to those readers who have a natural curiosity. There are books and articles out there on the that pertain to to the heavens you can really enjoy and you don't have to be a genius to understand them. You can just sit back and spend time relaxing while you enjoy basking in their knowledge. Personally, I am completely different.

Western astrology is based in ancient times, long before the Greeks began watching the skies. The people who settled in Mesopotamia (roughly, present-day southern Iraq) around 4000 BC considered the sun, the moon and Venus to be gods, or the homes of gods. Mixed with the other people were those who were believed to have the ability to contact Gods. They were able to tell of future events such as eclipses through keeping an eye on the planets and stars. The astrological theories that were gradually developed in ancient Mesopotamia are the basis upon which later astrological traditions were built, including classical Greek and Hellenistic astronomy. Hellenistic astrology has a hand in influencing other types of astrology.

So what is Ptolemaic Alexandria? Alexander the Great founded the Egyptian city of Alexandria in 331 BC, and the city later became the Ptolemaic Kingdom's capital (named after its first ruler, Ptolemy) from 332 BC (when Alexander died) up until the Roman conquest of Egypt in 30 BC. Alexandria continued to be the capital of Egypt for nearly a thousand years until the Muslim conquest of the country in the middle of the 7th century AD and Hellenism (the Greek way of life spread by Alexander) continued to prosper there throughout that time.

The distinguishing feature of Hellenism was the blend of Classical Greek culture and the cultures of the peoples to the east and south conquered by Alexander the Great. In Alexandria, this translated into a mixture of Egyptian, Greek, Roman, Macedonian, Persian, Syrian, Jewish, and Babylonian (Mesopotamian) cultures. One aspect of the rich cultural activity underway in Ptolemaic Alexandria was the development of astrology. (usually the conception or the birth of a person); most contain no predictions. Nevertheless, Horoscopic Astrology had its beginning in Babylonian Astrology.

During the middle of the 4th century BC, Babylonian astrology was introduced in Greece and using the names of the Gods in Greek mythology, the two practices blended together introducing those familiar names we know today. It was the development of the Horoscopic Astrology under Hellenistic rule in Ptolemaic Alexandria however that was the major contribution of the Greeks to Western Astrology.

The nucleus of Greek society, Ptolemaic Alexandria, melded the traditions of Babylonian astrology and Pharaonic Egyptian astronomy together. In Greece, India, and Egypt, Greek had evolved into a major form of communicating, which allowed knowledge to be shared amongst those countries. Hellenistic astrology was built on Egyptian and Babylonian traditions and produced a system of Horoscopic Astrology that is the origin of the modern day western Horoscopic Astrology.

The work of an astronomer / astrologer by the name of Claudius Ptolemy was particularly important to the development of horoscopic astrology in Alexandria at the time. Ptolemy was a Hellenistic scholar and although he was born in the south of Egypt (85 BC?) and died in Alexandria (165 BC?), no one knows whether he was Egyptian or Greek. It does not matter if he was a Greek born in Egypt with a Roman citizenship.

Ptolemy, a writer, is famous for his works the Tetrabiblios (where he compiled all known astrological theories of the time), and the Almagest (a thirteen volume discussion of how the solar system functions). Ptolemy not only believed that the earth was round, he also thinks that the sun and the planets revolved around the earth. The Ptolemaic theory taught astronomy students that the sun revolved around the earth for 1400 years, until it was found that the opposite was true. In spite of his contribution to the theory of Horoscopic Astrology, no horoscopes actually made by Ptolemy have ever been discovered.

There are many zodiacs from the Ptolemaic era which give proof of Egypt's contributions to Horoscopic Astrology. The most widely known of these is the Dendera zodiac, found on the ceiling of a chapel dedicated to the Egyptian goddess Osiris. You will be able to visit and glance at these articles in the Louvre Museum in Paris.

In the early 19th century, the renowned French linguist Jean-Francois Champollion (who, just a few years earlier, had managed to decipher hieroglyphics) correctly dated the Dendera zodiac to the Ptolemaic era. The accepted date of 50 BC is shown the set date of the stars and planets. The Dendera zodiac shows the twelve constellations and this is the map of the starts in plane projection (the band of the zodiac) making the 36 ten-day Decans, as more proof of how the Babylonian astrology combined with the traditional Egyptian Decan astrology.

The Horoscopic Astrology developed by Hellenistic scholars in Ptolemaic Alexandria was the result of the fusion of Mesopotamian, Egyptian and Greek astrology. The seventh century AD marked the end of Hellenistic astrology. In the eighth century, Muslim scholars revitalized interest in the basic elements of ancient astronomy to provide the original source for Western Horoscopic Astrology as we know it today.

Pendulums, Crystal Balls and Tarot Readings.

By Malc Baxter

Casting stones and crystals are used in a similar way. Contrary to the fortune tellers in old movies, crystal balls do not open as a window to show scenes of what is happening, or what is to come.

The crystal ball is used as a focal point for divination just like cards in tarot readings. Amethyst balls are of a shade that serves to unlock the mind in order to receive universal intellect. Wicca's call the practice of gazing into crystal balls, scrying.

To practice scrying relax completely, make your mind blank, and focus your attention on the crystal ball. By relaxing and staying focused on the question, you will be able to see an image or hear an answer. Many psychic readers say that they see visions in their crystal balls. A form of divinations which can be accomplished by using large stones.

Pendulums:

Pendulums are used mostly for yes or no questions. Pendulums are any weight suspended by a chain or a string. The psychic reader will hold the pendulum over loosely over the center of a paper or cloth that has been divided into areas for yes and no.

They themselves don't move the pendulum, but they make an inquiry and the pendulum starts to sway to and fro, signalling a response. Using in pendulums in tarot readings is also an option that psychics use in their readings.

A rendition of this divination has been used on pregnant women for many years. A needle is threaded and the psychic person will hold the thread over the abdomen of the pregnant woman and ask what the baby will be. The needle, swinging backward and forward, or side to side is an indication that the baby is male. If the needle swings in a circle of it's own volition, the baby will be a girl.

Psychic readings and Tarot readings can be done with several different methods each of which is unique and different.

The Fascination Of The Zodiac Pendant!

By Dane Masters

People are fascinated by zodiac signs. since ancient times, this symbolic wisdom has been handed down in the form of art or jewelry, as signs on landmarks and walls. The sign bearer comes to know about his/her personality traits, what are good signs and what are bad, what the future holds, etc. Any item can be used by the bearer of the sign to be kept nearby--crafted on a pillow with needlepoint or a poster sketch or etched into a ring or a car air freshener with a painted zodiac sign on it. It is not necessary that a necklace with a pendant carrying the zodiac pendant be the only way to carry the sign on person.

When I was younger and still not fully appreciative of my mother's thoughtfulness, I received from her a cigarette lighter (after she accepted that I smoked). On the lighter was the sexual position for Leos. I had looked closely at the lovely gift, and found that the image in silhouette was one which featured a woman sitting astride a man, both man and woman with their legs out in the air in a gleeful pose. I am sure that if a zodiac pendant were in the same shop, my mother would have snatched that up, but seeing at a glance the "Leo" engraved on the hatch, she investigated no further and brought the item home, not realizing she was condoning, maybe, more than her teenaged daughter's smoking habits.

But, since this piece of writing is full of digressions enough, I digress. Instead, I feel compelled to comment on the beautiful zodiac jewelry I found online, and on the zodiac pendants that are available and accessible and affordable at sites such as ebay, et. al.. On a 16 or 18 inch silver chain and costing a little over 100 bucks, a one-inch Leo zodiac pendant appeals to me greatly. It is silver, my preferred metal, and it is somewhat understated yet creatively rendered-it is a lion's head with a flowing mane that is encrusted with a few cubic zirconia.

Another kind of pendant still features the sign of the zodiac but is the sign itself, the symbol, rather than the animal. This necklace is even more subtle, as it is-in my case, as a Leo-just an upside-down "u" with a curlicue at each leg of the symbol. Still other pieces of jewelry featuring the astrological signs are equally lovely.

On ebay, which will be different once I stop writing and you start searching, of course, there are hundreds of choices, including those in 3-d with inlaid turquoise, those that are like tiny plaques, and those that emphasize the name of the sign or leave the sign name out and focus on the material-the silver, gold, or copper or leather. The prices range from a few dollars to a few hundred dollars, and the options-if you catch them in time before bidding ends-include different sizes, shapes, inscriptions, and information. If you look closely, you might even find one of the 1970s classics-with the designated sexual position. Then again, you may opt to steer clear of the classics and stay safely within the realm of the elements, the icons, and the astrological traits more suited to you and yours.

Love Psychic Readings Using Crystals.

By Malc Moore

There are many forms of divination when it comes to psychic readings. Tarot and Runes are quite popular. There are also other forms of divination that is rarely used, but will work as well, such as casting stones. Usually the types of stones used in these forms of psychic reading are crystals and gemstones, although there is also Runes.

Not many people use casting stones. With this method of divination the individual will need the use of crystals and various gemstones. There are different ways to use casting stones and individual psychic readers will need to find what suits them best.

A psychic will often throw crystals and gemstones onto a flat surface to help with readings, this is how casting stones are used in a psychic reading. These stones can be found in a kit, with a drawstring bag to store them and. Generally those who utilize the stones prefer to pick each one by hand in order to feel the vibration from each stone. The feel of a stone helps the individual determine if they want it in their kit.

It is best to use smaller stones, but not tiny, as they would be easy to lose. They should also have one flat side. You will want to choose the stones with their magical associations in mind.

Tiger Eye is a yellow/orange stone that is associated with light, clarity, warmth, heat, daylight, the Sun, etc. This stone could also be associated with the night, vision, and cats. This all depends on the question that has been asked, or what the subconscious of the reader leads them to.

Amethyst, as with all purple stones, is usually associated with psychic vision, and spirituality. If you are a beginner you will need to purchase one of the numbers of books available on the subject.

The crystal stones can be cast in different ways. A method employed by some psychic readers involves making a cloth on which to throw the stones, with the cloth often decorated with a circle which is itself equally split into four sections.

In psychic readings each of the four parts of the circle is represented by a direction:

Air Element - East.
The color yellow and the mind are both related to air.

Fire Element - South.
Fire is about purification, energy and action and the color red.

The West Represents Water.
Water is linked with psychic abilities as well as emotion, along with blue and purple stones.

But there are a lot of divination methods which may be utilized in psychic readings, making the psychic's job that of finding the right ones that suit them.

How To Determine Someone's Astrological Element

By Max Blackstone

Is there any way to guess someone's astrological element? It's astonishing when it happens but it's not so easy and requires a lot of practice and a deep understanding of astrology. Here's an easier solution!

So, what's the first step? Here's a very easy way that allows you to guess anyone's astrological element (with a little bit of practice of course).

And the good news is: there are in fact ONLY 4 astrological elements: Fire, Air, Water, and Earth. Every zodiac sign belongs to one of these four elements. And here is how they relate:

The Fire Signs are Passionate Doers (Aries, Leo, Sagittarius)

Fire signs tend to be outgoing, inspirational and these people often are an inspiration to others. Fire element may become selfish, in-sensitive risk-takers. A lack of fire is indicated by a lack of initiative, inspiration and difficulty in becoming inspired.

Earth Signs are Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn: Persistent Achievers

Earth signs tend to be practical, cautious and have a materialistic approach to life with the need to build solid, 'real' material success. They appreciate long range planning and have the determination to succeed. A lack of earth is indicated by a lack of 'real' world success.

Air Signs are Intellectual Speakers and include Gemini, Libra, Aquarius.

Many times Air signs tend to be natural communicative, extroverted intellectual and enjoy being exposed to different ideas and knowledge. A lack of air is indicated by a lack of the capability to think through and express an idea.

Water Signs are Intuitive Feelers and include Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces.

Water signs are quite emotional - even if they don't show it - caring, and artistic, but can also tend to exaggerate feelings out of proportion and live in a fantasy world. A lack of water is indicated as a lack of the ability to understand the feeling side of life and to show compassion to those around them.

IMPORTANT: Everyone has a little bit of all of these element within themselves. So there's not anyone who is just a earth or fire sign. But that doesn't matter. Because what you are looking for is: which is the DOMINANT element. And that's all that matters.

HOW TO GUESS:

To determine someone's astrological element, you'll have to rate the person's personality traits between one and ten points in the following four questions. By answering each question: Give 10 points when the trait is dominant, give only 1 point when there's a lack of of the trait. Give 5 points when you don't know.

Does the person have the traits of a "Passionate Doer"? Please rate between 1 and 10 on how inspirational, passionate and energetic this person is about things that interest that person.

How much of a "Intellectual Talker" is the person? Please rate between 1 and 10 how much communicative and extroverted this person is about new ideas and concepts.

How much of a "Intuitive Feeler" is the person? Please rate between 1 and 10 how emotional, compassionate and introverted this person is about problems and issues.

Does the person have the traits of a "Persistent Worker"? Please rate between 1 and 10 how practical, consistent and materialistic this person is and things that the person wants to achieve.

While answering these questions, try to think of situations where this person had to display these traits in the past. If you've just met the person, go ahead and ask them to tell you a story in which they tell you about their passion, ideas, feelings and achievements.

How to tell: The person's astrological element is the HIGHEST RATING one.

However, if you're unsure about the results or just not yet clear - just go ahead, ask more questions and re-rate the person in all four areas. You'll be flabbergasted how many times this method will be successful. Have a fun time!

How to Make Love Happen with Astrology

By Max Blackstone

If you're fascinated by love astrology and love horoscopes or you feel curious about how the stars influence your love life, there's a well-kept secret: There's more that you can learn from a love horoscope than just your astrological compatibility with other signs.

Here's the story: You romantic relationship potential is bigger than you think. Using love horoscope you can understand it, but an astrologer also can create a more potent and powerful document: a so-called "Astrology Love Guide"! How is it different from a horoscope? Here's how: it will tell you how you can practically force a potential partner to fall in love with you! You can study how to boost your natural compatibility and chemistry with this person. That means that after you've acquired this wisdom, you're ready to change your love life instantly and for good.

You might think: "But, how does it work?"

Here's a bit of history: ancient astrologers were the first ones who created "Astrology Love Guides". They used it as their secret weapon casting love spells to win the heart of potential lovers. They used their astrological knowledge and techniques in ways that most conventional astrologers don't know:

Already more than 5000 years ago, astrologers discovered astrological traits which are the psychological building blocks for how a person thinks, feels, perceives and responds to the world. They researched and understood that a Gemini loves to communicate, a Scorpio is passionate; an Aries loves a challenge, etc and so on. (This is over-simplifying it a bit. Of course it is more complicated considering the distinctive combination of an individual's Sun, Moon, Mars, Venus signs. But you get the gist of it.)

So what, how does that help me?

Ask yourself this: What if you knew the unique combination of a person's astrological traits and you could decode this person's behavior? What if you knew what the person desires and is attracted to? How can this knowledge be used in romance?

An "Astrology Love Guide" contains this wisdom and the suggestions for a particular person so that it becomes your secret weapon: It's an "Instruction Manual for Love and Lust" - personal and accurate.

And let me share with you how it works: It's almost like a cracking a code. Once you did it, it becomes really easy! Think about it like this: What could you do if you really knew the unique combination of your lover's astrological personality traits? What if you could really decode how attraction and love works for this person?

The KEY: It means that you know what your potential lover finds sexy and craves for! And that means that you can intensify and show off your own natural behaviors and traits. And that means you know how to be the "the one and only match"!

So in short it means that if you use the knowledge of an Astrology Love Guide, your potential lover will feel that you're irresistible. It means that create your love compatibility on purpose. Applying the knowledge of an astrology love guide means you bypass all the romantic guesswork. It's almost like you're casting a love spell on that individual ...

Cleopatra, the influential ruler of ancient Egypt, used Astrology Love Guides successfully as a "Secret Weapons". Both of the world's most powerful men, Julius Caesar and Mark Anthony felt magically in love with Cleopatra who relied on love astrology.

You'll discover in an Astrology Love Guide not only what your romantic potential is but what your lover desires and what you can say and do to appeal to these traits, so you can actually increase your natural compatibility with anyone. That how you can win friends and lovers using astrology as your powerful secret weapon.
